Beast (stage name, real name unknown) is one of the first tier members of Noah's Ark Circus, as well as one of the oldest and original members of the troupe. As one of the talented founders of the show, she is entitled to her tent, and is a most popular stars at the Circus where she works as an animal tamer. Her favorite 'partner' is a female tiger named Betty.
Due to several circumstances throughout her life, she is far from being a simple, sexy girl, and there is a lot more to her than meets the eye. As most of the circus main cast, she is missing a limb, her left leg, replaced by a perfect prosthesis.
As a child, she lived in the streets, along with most of the other first tier members. Like her, all of them have a particular handicap (due to genetic malformations or accidents). The conditions they lived in were terrible, but they always managed to steal enough food to live and clothes to keep themselves covered, getting strong and resourceful by living on their own. Baron Kelvin, a so-called philanthropist, took them into his mansion. He provided them with food, shelter and clothing until they were all old enough to form Noah's Ark Circus. For this, Baron Kelvin probably provided them with prosthetics.
However, the Baron Kelvin's kindness hides a heartless monster and purpose is to use her and the other Circus' members to kidnap young and beautiful children for him. This sick obsession began after he met Ciel Phantomhive and since then, he has had the kids kidnapped for his entertainment and doesn't care for their well-being. Besides this, he uses them to perform a sadistic sacrifice ritual, such as the one Ciel underwent. To add to the horror, Baron Kelvin, with the help of his personal Doctor, uses the killed children's bones to create the realistic and sophisticated prosthetics of the Circus' cast. But unaware of the Baron's horrible acts, Beast is thankful for the chance he gave her friends and her, using his nickname of Father to refer to him and considering the others like her family.
Due to her difficult childhood, Beast seems to be a cold, harsh person. It is uncertain whether she really enjoys being an animal tamer or if she does it out of duty. However, she works at the Circus with enthusiasm, even if her methods are not always the best. We see this when Sebastian steps down as a volunteer and almost gets his head eaten by Betty. Beast uses her whip to punish the feline but Sebastian reprimands her for using violence to correct and train the tiger. She immediately dislikes the demon ruining her performance, even if Doctor also told her to train Betty better.
Beast is actually softer than she appears. When it comes to her family (the other first tier circus members) she is loving and protective. Being the oldest of the girls, she has taken up a motherly role with her younger adoptive brothers and sisters. While they may not be related by blood, she and her siblings are held together by a strong bond. Fooled by Father, Beast reveals to Sebastian that she follows his orders to protect her siblings still living at the workhouse that Baron Kelvin claims to take care of. Little does she know that the workhouse doesn't even exist and that the children are tortured and killed by their protector.
One of the few persons to know about this soft side is Joker, the man trusts, respects and cherishes with all her heart. She grew up with him since she was in the streets, and moved into Father's manor at the same time as him. He is probably the one closer to her from all the Circus' members and is in love with him. However, her love seems to be unrequited, it is not exactly clear if Joker shares her feelings or only considers her like a sister. This is something that Sebastian uses against her, seducing her and coaxing information out of her with beautiful but cruel words and skilled hands. This way, he got to see the soft, caring part of her character.
Unlike most of her family, she does not fully trust in Baron Kelvin. Confronting Joker about it, she insists that they run away from Father's reach. Beast believes that they don't need him, and most of all, she wants to stop doing those jobs he blackmails them into. She starts to doubt that those siblings he claims he'll bring back to be with them, really exist. Or maybe she thinks she and Joker could personally go there and save them. In the end, she is willing to give crucial information to Sebastian in exchange for physical pleasure and a night of comfort with him.
In spite of her missing limb, Beast is very confident of her body. This is shown by the revealing outfits she wears: a tight corset and short skirt made of leather, fishnet stockings and gloves, garters and a whip. She wears circus makeup and a red flower in her hair. She is also seen with a coat, Joker's scarf, and has simpler makeup, this way revealing her softer and still young side. She is also not ashamed of her fake leg and even lets Sebastian examine it and intimately touch her, letting him see her most fragile and love-hungry side. Something she never gets to show to the one she truly loves, Joker.
All of these qualities make up Beast's personality. Unfortunately, we don't see much more of her in the manga. Other traits of her were not developed but she is reliable and honest person, staying true to her family and ready to sacrifice her honor and life for them.
Timeline: Beast is with the other members of Noah's Ark Circus, going towards Ciel Phantomhive's Manor. The attack has just started when she suddenly vanishes into thin air and is brought to Demeleier *end of the Noah's Ark Circus Arc).

Beast walked around the village, wondering what she could do in such a place. She would survive, that was for sure, but the point was, what to do for a living? Or more likely, to help out the village.
She had learned it all worked out through a trading system. If you had something someone else needed, you made an exchange for food, clothes, or whatever you might require. As for ‘jobs’, they were unpaid, but it worked on the same principle. Give and take. She sighed and look at the various shops and similar places scattered around the village. What could she be good at?
She saw there were some orchards and greenhouses. She wasn’t particularly good with plants, but it would do, if she could find nothing else. There was the Inn, but she wasn’t very friendly to work at contact with others. And the bar...
The bar was out of the question, Black, well Sebastian, was there. She would rather be dead before falling prey to that man again, despite how tempting it sounded. The bathhouse wasn’t all that appealing either. Whatever did these people for entertainment? She was a circus performer, for God’s sake! She wondered if she could find enough talented people in this world to start her own show… Now that would be something she’d enjoy doing!
Maybe there was something she could do with animals. She saw there were stables in town. She wouldn’t mind taking care of the horses and the other creatures found there. She wasn’t a veterinarian, but she believed she could do the basic stuff: feeding, washing, taking the beasts out for a ride or walk. That might make an interesting job, even though she’d never really worked with farm animals before. But she liked them, and wasn’t all that bad with them. Whatever Black (Sebastian, she reminded herself once more) had said. Beast decided she would go and see who was in charge and see what she could do.

It's been about a week since I arrived to this place. I had been avoiding using this thing where I can read/see/hear other's 'journals' or whatever. Thoughts ought to be private. However, what I have seen has shocked me enough to consider writing it just to get it off my chest... I don't really care who reads this anymore... Not even him!
I don't know how the hell I even got here! Especially without Joker and my siblings from the Circus! I can only hope Joker is still alive. I don’t think Dagger and the others had such luck though. Why was only I the one to be saved? Is there a purpose or was it just chance? I don’t understand what I am supposed to do in this place. In truth, it’s not such a bad place… It’s strange, but I’ve been through worse… The only thing that worries me is being separated from my family… And Joker…
And now… Why is that man here too? What is he doing here? Black [She means Sebastian Michaelis, although she never learned his real name]. He and Smile [She refers to Ciel Phantomhive] are the ones to blame for everything bad that happened since their arrival to theCcircus. Them… Father… All of them destroyed our family!
But him… I still recall that night with him. He was cruel and sweet in his words. But oh… what he gave me… And now, he is here. I saw him near the bar, bringing back some lumber. He looks as handsome as I remember him. Black. How long has he been here, I wonder? There’s so much I want to ask him, and yet, I don’t dare… For one thing, I’m not sure I’d like his answers. And more importantly, I don’t want to fall into his hands again.
